AFGRI Poultry is an integrated operation producing parent stock
from their own Grandparent (Hubbard) operation and broiler dayold
chicks. With passion and innovation AFGRI Poultry produces
and processes broilers into Frozen Whole Birds and Individually
Quick Frozen (“IQF”) portions, while using specially formulated
high performance feed supplied by AFGRI Animal Feeds.

The operation focuses on supplying
our valued customers with high quality
poultry meat products by using the
most efficient and cost effective
methods.
From the Hubbard grandparent
operation, breeding stock is supplied
to Midway Chix which includes two
separate farms and a state-of-the-art
Hatchery. Day-old broiler chicks are
supplied to independent contract
growers and own broiler farms which
grow the chicks over 36 days to the
correct slaughter weight.
These broilers are then processed
through two modern abattoirs, which
are both certified as Halaal facilities
by Muslim Judicilal Council Halaal
Trust (MJC) and The South African
National Halaal Authority (SANHA).
While most of the product consists
of Individually Quick Frozen (IQF)
Portions, Frozen Whole Birds and
Byproducts are also sold to the retail
chains and independent wholesalers.
AFGRI Poultry will continue to diversify
their product offering to expand
the market to include the fresh, food
services and value-added sectors
while ensuring they remain a low cost
producer.
